NAMS Forum 2018

In November 2018 Wellington hosted the 7th biennial Advanced Asset Management Forum.

The theme was, ‘Game Changers: Are you ready for tomorrow’s infrastructure?’ This theme challenged us to identify how asset management can fortify our infrastructure and our industry for radical disruptive change.

Delegates representing the full breadth of New Zealand's diverse asset management sector were present, included government, commercial, corporate, industrial, utilities, financial institutions and consultancies.  Delegates were stimulated and challenged to expand their thinking along the conference sub-themes of change in technology, environments, requirements, business or funding rules, and skills and capabilities. The best asset management minds were present, and we used slid.o to capture audience thoughts and feedback in real time, and weave into the presentations, Q&A, and discussions, as well as vote on priorities and identify other key issues.

NAMS 2018 Outcomes

How can asset management fortify our infrastructure and our industry for radical disruptive change?

On the right hand side of this page you will find links to the outcomes and priorities identified by delegates for 6 forum themes.  We designed the forum to capture key insights and themes from the audience - and the information gathered will be synthesised and inform future initiatives of NAMS.  This event supports our continued collective journey towards thriving in the face of disruption and continues the conversation of how excellence in asset management might be advanced in New Zealand.

Thank you to our NAMS partners and sponsors for their support of this event, particularly those who committed their time and expertise in assisting with the development of the programme. Your commitment to the cause strengthens the asset management community and is greatly appreciated.

It is vital for us as a sector to continue to engage and challenge ourselves to have the conversations about what excellence in asset management will look like in future.
