Introduction to Asset Management
Why is this course for you?
Asset management as a practice has been used successfully in New Zealand for the last 15 years with those organisations applying its principles seeing real business gains in the management of infrastructure assets. Whether you manage assets or assist others to manage them, it is important you and your colleagues understand each of the part of the business process. This introductory seminar covers general asset management principles which can be applied to a wide range of assets including transportation, water, waste, stormwater and land drainage, energy, telecommunications and a vast range of property types.
On completion of the seminar attendees will:
• Understand the drivers for asset management as a business process
• Have a good understanding of the basic principles underlying each part of the process
• Appreciate why asset management delivers added value to the delivery of levels of service through infrastructure assets
This practical one day seminar has been designed to offer an intensive hands-on introductory course which will ensure attendees can apply the principles of the NAMS International Infrastructure Management Manual (IIMM) to benefit their own organisation.
