Asset Management of Parks and Community Facilities
Why is this course for you?
Asset Management as a practice has been used successfully in New Zealand for the last 15 years and in that time many public sector organisations have realised that there are some differences in the application of asset management principles to recreation and community assets and the application to other infrastructure assets. This seminar is designed to explain asset management planning processes specifically as they relate to the management of parks, reserves and community facility assets.
On completion of the seminar attendees will:
· Have a good understanding of a number of basic asset principles
· Be able to apply these principles to the management of community assets
· Have reviewed and discussed examples of parks management practices with colleagues
This targeted industry course is designed to encourage participants to share their past experiences with the group throughout the day ensuring everyone gains a full understanding of asset management in this sector.
