Why is this course for you?
A key component of good asset management practices is the completion of reliable, consistent and comparable valuations of infrastructure assets. Such valuations also contribute to better accountability to stakeholders and, of course, better decision making by those who manage these assets. Whether you intend to undertake part of the asset valuation yourself, or you intend to engage someone else to undertake it on your behalf, it is important you and your colleagues understand the principles of valuing infrastructural assets. Valuing infrastructure assets can be tricky unless you know what is involved.
On completion of the workshop attendees will:
• Understand the principles behind the valuation of infrastructure assets
• Have a good understanding of the asset valuation process
• Be aware of the key issues to consider when valuing different groups of assets
This practical one day workshop has been designed to offer an intensive hands-on asset valuation course which will ensure attendees can apply the principles of the NAMS Valuation and Depreciation guidelines (DVG) to benefit their own organisation.
