Asset Management for Property Seminar
This seminar will be held on Tuesday 1st November 2011 in Taupo and has been timed to be the day before the Local Authority Property Association Annual (LAPA)Conference, to offer property practitioners the opportunity to attend both events.
The content is primarily aimed at practitioners and consultants working in the Local and Central Government sectors- including housing, health, education, corrections, defence, and other departments where property is essential part of the delivery of public services.
The seminar will consist of a mixture of presentations and interactive workshops in which examples of property asset management practices will be reviewed and discussed. The presenter will highlight the main asset management issues currently being faced in New Zealand when managing a publically owned property portfolio and ways to address these.
Aspects of asset management covered in the seminar include:
• Overview of the asset planning framework
• Management of information including asset data
• Condition and performance grading of buildings
• Developing meaningful levels of service for property assets
• Forecasting demand and demand management
• Commercial business drivers such as leasing/ return on investment
• Capital decision making
• Case Studies
• Workshops
The seminar provides training based upon the NAMS series of guidelines, and in particular the 2011 International Infrastructure Management Manual and the 2006 NAMS Property Manual. This seminar will assist you to gain better value from these valuable industry tools and an opportunity to learn how others are doing it.
