It’s the Putting Back that Counts

This workshop will examine the inter-relationships between operational, maintenance and renewal strategies for assets - in many ways the ‘heart’ of asset management. It will explore the different activities that make up each of these strategies, how best to define the boundaries between each strategy and how best to forecast and disclose the activities, both in a descriptive and financial sense. The workshop will also tackle the vexed question of how best to record, disclose and communicate deferral of maintenance and deferral of renewals. Learn More...

Beans for Beams

(Accounting for Asset Managers)

A key output of the asset management planning process is financial information which is used by the organisation to forecast both the finances needed to deliver the agreed levels of service and the decline in service potential of the assets used over time. In order to produce this financial information, the asset manager needs a good understanding of accounting principles as they relate to asset management. This seminar is designed for people involved in any aspect of asset management that do not currently have a financial background. It also looks at the linkages between Asset Management plans, Long Term Plans and Annual Reports. Learn More...
