David Adamson Biography
David Adamson - NAMS Chair
Dave currently lives in Southland and is employed by the Southland District Council as their Chief Executive. David graduated with a bachelor of Engineering specialising in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Canterbury. At this time, Lincoln College was still a college of the University of Canterbury and therefore the degree was a joint degree from both institutions. David's career has centred on local authority engineering. He worked in New Plymouth, Taupo and Rotorua prior to moving to the Deep South. |
His early career focused on public-health engineering including the three waters, sewerage treatment and disposal and solid waste. In moving to the role of an engineer for the Southland District Council, David’s Roading knowledge increased rapidly, as Southland is the largest local road controlling authority in New Zealand with 5000 km of road.
